This unique session focuses on robbery awareness, the requirements of Section 748, NCUA Rules and Regulations; Section 5193, NCUA Accounting Manual; and the industry standards for robbery prevention.  The Board of Directors must ensure there is a written security program for all branches and that robbery, burglary, and larceny training has been completed.  To achieve this, the credit union needs a risk manager who knows why robbers chose one location over another; is educated on the latest training techniques; and can perform physical risk assessments, including camera locations, barriers to criminals, and how staff can use member service techniques to hinder potential robbers.

This webinar will meet the training requirements for your entire staff.  It might be the best investment you ever make to educate everyone from the boardroom to the frontline on robbery preparedness.

  • The board will understand what is required of them to protect the credit union
  • The security officer (or designated person) will be provided with a template to help develop a customized robbery program
  • Management will learn industry standards for opening and closing and the staff support they should provide after a robbery
  • Back office staff will understand how they can be beneficial in a robbery situation
  • Frontline staff will learn how following proper procedures can lessen the robbery potential
  • Everyone will learn exactly what they should do before, during, and after a robbery
